Development Initiative for Social advancement (DISA)
Basic Information
The Development Initiative for Social Advancement “DISA” is a non-political and non-governmental organization started in 1993 to help Bangladesh achieve its Sustainable Development Goals. DISA’s mission as an organization is to help the country move towards a productive, prosperous and sustainable future. Since its inception, it has been contributing to poverty alleviation through various economic activities such as women empowerment, skill training for youth, education, social entrepreneurship and other initiatives related to social development. DISA operates 106 branch offices and 23 social enterprises in 19 districts of Bangladesh and has successfully implemented several development programs including 1 standard residential training center in Mirpur, Dhaka. DISA is working regularly to expand its activities through creativity, innovation and uniqueness.
